    UWB uplink/downlink ToA and TDoA.
    AoA and RSSI.
    ● GNSS, inertial navigation, and sensor fusion technologies.
    Key advantages:
Versatility: Compatible with diverse RTLS technology configurations, from standalone UWB base stations to hybrid systems.
Customization: Tailored solutions for specific scenarios, such as combining real-time location tracking with environmental sensing.
Scalability: Supports seamless integration of Personnel Location Tags and asset trackers across industries.

  • What are zero-dimensional, one-dimensional, two-dimensional, and three-dimensional positioning?

    +

These terms describe the spatial resolution of location finding devices:

These terms describe the spatial resolution of location finding devices

3D positioning: Tracks targets in full Cartesian coordinates (X, Y, Z), enabling free movement in 3D space (e.g., drones or robotic arms).
2D positioning: Confines tracking to a planar surface (horizontal or inclined), ideal for floor-level asset monitoring.
1D positioning: Restricts movement to a linear path (e.g., conveyor belt tracking).
0D positioning: Detects presence/absence of a target within a defined zone (e.g., real-time location tracking for entry/exit monitoring).
Optimal accuracy is achieved when the system’s positioning dimension aligns with the target’s actual movement (e.g., 3D RTLS technology for dynamic indoor navigation).

  • Eforthink Communication Technology & Advantages

    +

Uses 802.15.4g SubG (920–925MHz band, 200kbps rate, ≥1km range). Outperforms LoRa in data capacity, supporting dense location finding devices (e.g., UBeacons) for high-precision RTLS real time location system coverage.

  • What are common indoor positioning technologies? How do they differ?

    +

Indoor positioning systems rely on radio signals, acoustic, optical, or inertial navigation technologies to determine location.
    Common RTLS technologies include:
Radio-based protocols: UWB, ZigBee, LoRa, and WiFi.
Positioning methods: Time of Arrival (ToA), Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA), Angle of Arrival (AoA), Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), and phase-based ranging.
Differences between technologies are determined by parameters such as:
Accuracy: UWB location technology offers centimeter-level precision, while AoA or WiFi typically provide meter-level accuracy.
Power consumption: AoA and LoRa excel in low-power applications, whereas UWB prioritizes high performance.
Coverage and scalability: WiFi suits large areas, while UWB-based RTLS is ideal for localized, high-accuracy tracking.
    For example:
Mining operations may use UWB ToF (Time of Flight) for Personnel Location Tag tracking.
Hazardous environments might combine RSSI with UWB TDoA to balance precision and low-power deployment.

  • Eforthink’s Self-Developed UBeacon vs. Traditional UWB

    +

    Traditional UWB:
    ● Uses Time-of-Flight (TOF) between tags and base stations.
    ● Relies on wired connections (network cable/fiber) between base stations and servers.
    ● Combines UWB signals with ZigBee communication.
    UBeacon (Eforthink Innovation):
    ● Integrates RTLS Technology with TOF ranging between tags and beacons.
    ● Transmits data via 915MHz ZigBee to servers (fiber/4G).
    ● Combines UWB signals with AoA, reducing wiring costs and enabling flexible deployment.

  • Advantages of UWB & AOA Fusion RTLS

    +

Dual-technology synergy: Combines UWB’s centimeter-level accuracy with AoA’s cost efficiency.
Scenario-based optimization: Deploy UBeacons in high-precision zones (e.g., hazardous areas) and iBeacons in low-precision zones (e.g., warehouses).
Seamless switching: Tags dynamically switch between UWB and AoA for uninterrupted real time location tracking.

  • Eforthink UBeacon vs. AOD Ground Spikes

    +

Lower Deployment Density: UBeacon covers 0–80m vs. AOD’s 10m, reducing device count by 75–80%.
Superior Stability: UWB resists multipath interference, maintaining <10cm accuracy in metal-rich environments.
Flexible Installation: Wall/pole-mounted UBeacons avoid ground obstructions, unlike AOD’s central-floor placement.
By leveraging uwb location technology and RTLS real time location system innovations, Eforthink delivers scalable, precise, and cost-effective solutions for industrial safety and efficiency.

  • What Industries Use Eforthink RTLS Solutions?

    +

Eforthink provides end-to-end solutions—hardware development, platform deployment, and system integration—for industries including: Industrial manufacturing
    Electric power & energy
    Petrochemical
    Public safety & law enforcement
    Warehousing & logistics
    Intelligent recreation
Our uwb location technology and AOA fusion positioning enable real time location tracking across diverse scenarios, from high-precision asset monitoring to personnel safety management.

  • How Does Eforthink’s RTLS Ensure Safety Ranging and Collision Avoidance?

    +

The system comprises two core location finding devices: a ranging base station and a ranging tag.
In practical applications, the distance between base stations or between a base station and a Personnel Location Tag reflects the proximity of vehicles or personnel. When the distance falls below a preset safety threshold, connected alarms and tags trigger real-time alerts (voice and light) to prevent collisions, such as forklift accidents.
The base stations perform mutual ranging, while tags range with base stations (but not with each other). Safety distances between nodes (base stations/tags) are configurable via tools. This RTLS real time location system ensures instant alerts for dynamic risk mitigation.
