Eforthink Launches UWB Indoor Navigation and Spatial Services for UWB-Enabled Phones
Making large indoor spaces navigable, measurable, and operationally intelligent.
In complex indoor environments such as shopping malls, airports, hospitals, exhibition centers and museums, visitors often face a familiar problem: finding a parking space, locating a store, reaching the right department, or getting to the correct boarding gate can be difficult and time-consuming.
At the same time, venue operators face their own challenges: limited visibility into foot traffic, difficulty optimizing visitor flows, slow service response, and a lack of location-based data to support commercial conversion and operational decisions.
With UWB now widely available across recent iPhone models and rapidly expanding across Android devices, indoor location services are entering a new stage of development. Eforthink is officially launching its UWB Indoor Navigation and Spatial Services Solution, built on UWB-enabled phones, downlink positioning anchors, spatial maps and navigation algorithms. The solution provides 30-centimeter-level positioning, precise navigation, arrival detection and spatial analytics for venue operations.
More importantly, based on the UWB DL-TDoA architecture, Eforthink is among the first to complete end-to-end integration and validation of indoor navigation and positioning for UWB-enabled phones across both iOS and Android ecosystems.
This means indoor navigation for UWB-enabled phones is no longer limited to a single device model, a single operating system, or a closed technical demonstration. It is beginning to provide the foundation for fast deployment and ecosystem collaboration in real-world large indoor spaces.

UWB-Enabled Phones Become Positioning Devices, No Extra Tags Required
In the past, high-precision positioning often relied on dedicated tags or handheld devices, which increased deployment complexity and user adoption barriers. Eforthink’s newly released solution turns the user’s smartphone into a native positioning device, enabling UWB-enabled phones to achieve precise positioning and navigation in spaces equipped with UWB anchors.
This downlink positioning architecture, in which anchors transmit, phones receive, and positioning is calculated on the phone, is especially suitable for high-traffic environments. Since the phone acts mainly as a receiving terminal and does not participate in traditional two-way UWB ranging handshakes, the number of receiving devices does not consume two-way ranging resources. This enables high-density scalability and phone-side self-positioning in large indoor spaces.
High Precision, High-Density Scalability, and Privacy-Friendly Operation
Eforthink’s UWB Indoor Navigation and Spatial Services Solution is designed around three core advantages: high precision, high-density scalability and privacy-friendly operation.
High precision: UWB enables high-precision positioning, supporting parking-space-level, store-level, booth-level and seat-level navigation.
High-density scalability: Positioning is mainly calculated on the phone side. UWB-enabled phones receive anchor broadcasts without occupying two-way ranging resources, making the solution well suited for high-density venues such as shopping malls, airports, railway stations, exhibitions and concerts.
Privacy-friendly operation: The phone primarily receives positioning signals. Location data can be managed based on user consent and business requirements, reducing unnecessary exposure of location information.
Opening Spatial Capabilities to the Ecosystem
The solution is not limited to a single app or a single system. Eforthink can provide SDKs, APIs and custom integration support for map platforms, location-based service platforms, smartphone ecosystem partners, venue management systems, parking systems, membership systems, ticketing systems, hospital information systems (HIS), queue management systems, exhibition systems and more.
For operators and integrators of large indoor spaces, Eforthink can provide mobile SDKs for iOS and Android applications, including:
- Real-time indoor positioning and multi-floor route planning
- Door-to-parking-space navigation and parking-space-to-store navigation
- Precise arrival detection and POI calibration
- Visitor-flow heatmap analysis and dwell-time statistics
- Emergency evacuation guidance and multi-system location data sharing
Through these capabilities, UWB becomes more than a navigation feature. It can serve as a spatial service gateway that connects users, venues, merchants and platforms.
Expanding Ecosystem Partnerships
The deployment of indoor navigation for UWB-enabled phones depends on collaboration across smartphone ecosystems, map platforms, location-based service platforms, venue owners, industry customers and merchant operations platforms. Eforthink welcomes more partners to co-develop closed-loop service scenarios in real-world large indoor spaces.
From user experience to venue operations, from map navigation to location-based services, and from spatial positioning to data services, Eforthink is ready to work with ecosystem partners to accelerate real-world deployment of applications for UWB-enabled phones and make large indoor spaces truly navigable, measurable and operationally intelligent.
Moving forward, Eforthink will continue to build on its UWB spatial sensing capabilities and work with more partners to advance innovative applications for UWB-enabled phones across commercial complexes, transportation hubs, hospitals, exhibition centers, museums, large venues and beyond.
